We caught up with Santa Barbara, CA based surfer/shaper Ryan Lovelace during his most recent excursion to Asbury Park, NJ. Lovelace was in town to shape nearly 50 surfboards for Glide Surf Co. which is owned and operated by local surfer Phil Browne and his wife Jessica.
Glide Surf Co. specializes in high-end alternative surfcraft, making it the destination of choice if you are looking for something that diverges from the norm to propel your wave riding pursuits.
Together Lovelace and Browne have been supplying the surfers of New Jersey with the tools to draw a variety of disparate routes across rolling walls of water.
In this film interview, Lovelace expounds on his shaping philosophy, influences, and his unique experiences surfing and creating wave riding craft for his devout following in the Garden State.
