Rejoice!: Riding The Wave Of Life

Ride the wave until it dissipates. When it’s no longer, let it go, paddle out, and you will be given another. Rejoice!

Partake of a swell as much as needed or as much as your body will allow. Eventually, you’ll need to rest, so your body can repair and rejuvenate. Also, the swell is finite, with a beginning and an end. When it no longer exists, that is the perfect time to rest and reflect.

Show gratitude for being able to ride the waves and to be blessed to enjoy the swell. When it’s gone, it’s gone. Yet there is no reason to lament, another will surely arrive soon enough.

Oftentimes, faith and patience are key. We learn these qualities from the sea.

The waves of life, ride them until the end, then begin again anew.

Now a father and self-proclaimed seeker of the “soul” of surfing, Shawn enjoys sessions with friends at uncrowded peaks along his home state’s shoreline and writing about his surf related experiences.
