Style and Grace: Craig Anderson and His Hypto Krypto
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” -Leonardo da Vinci
Where does style come from? Is it a culmination of influence honed through practice? Is it something that is inherently bestowed upon someone? Can style be a bypass of the ego and the truest expression of the soul of an individual?
I tend to think style is a culmination of all the above and more. One thing is for sure, those who have “style” are unmistakable in the surfing tribe. Craig Anderson is certainly one who’s surfing beams the most pleasing visual aesthetic, while oozing style with every movement and movements not made. A balance between skill, poise, flow, and a restful ease.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy this short film edit of Mr. Anderson’s poetically free-flowing wave riding technique, it’s some of the most beautiful surfing out there today.
