Autumn’s Beauty: A Stunning Photo Gallery From Fiona Mullen
Photographer | Fiona Mullen
Fiona Mullen’s photos have been gracing our website for almost a year now and we feel ever grateful to share her work.
Currently Fiona is busy studying photography as her major at Monmouth University. With her heavy school workload and her upcoming trip to the North Shore of Oahu, she still squeezes in the time to photograph the underground surfers in the central New Jersey area.
Mullen’s images are truly unique and capture elements of the surfing experience that many may overlook, as they are only focused on that explosive moment of peaked action. Radical maneuvers always attract attention, yet the act of surfing is riddled with subtleties. As these subtle pieces come into unification, the highest expression of the fullness of the pursuit are revealed. Fiona has a way of solidifying those subtleties, through her chosen craft of photography, that I find to be truly awe inspiring.
At such a young age she is blessed with a raw talent and a tenacious work ethic. Coupling her talent and work ethic with her humble and kind demeanor, I can only see her making a huge impact on the world of surf photography in the years to come.

“All things change, nothing is extinguished. There is nothing in the whole world which is permanent. Everything flows onward; all things are brought into being with a changing nature; the ages themselves glide by in constant movement.” -Ovid | Surfer: Paul Kelly
